As Julia Turnbull sat in a restaurant eating a tasty shrimp quesadilla facing the Sea of Cortez, her decision became clear.
The now retired Calgary lawyer had been scouting real estate opportunities when she stopped at Esperanza, a property by Auberge Resorts in Mexico.
“I sat at this lovely table overlooking the rocks with waves crashing and I thought, ‘Yeah, this is for me’,” says Turnbull. “I loved it. It was just fantastic.”
Esperanza is a property in Los Cabos on the Baja Peninsula that boasts 60 privately owned villas, 36 private residences and a 57-suite complex.
The property is perched on Punta Ballena, which in Spanish means “Whale Point.” It overlooks two private coves on the Sea of Cortez.
