The word is out….our very own Esperanza Resort and Private Residences served as the official host to President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and the members of the U.S. delegation during the 2012 G-20 Mexico Summit, held on June 18 and 19. President Obama and U.S. delegation representatives assembled at Esperanza on the eve of the summit on June 17th for a briefing before the bilateral meeting with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, which also took place at the resort.
Located at the tip of Punta Ballena (“Whale Point”) and surrounded by two private beaches overlooking the Sea of Cortez, Esperanza offers exceptional accommodations and service and security to ensure guest privacy. The intimate resort has played host to many leaders in the spheres of international government, business and entertainment, thanks to its intimate size, high level of service and gated coastal location. “We are delighted that Esperanza was selected to accommodate the President of the United States, Secretary of State and members of the U.S. delegation for the G-20 Summit,” said Marc Rodriguez, General Manager, Esperanza, an Auberge Resort. “It was an honor for our team to play a role in supporting such an important gathering of world leaders.”
